Need ideas for twins boys first birthday party?
-
My twins will be a year old February 26th and I'm starting to plan now for their birthday but I'm having a hard time coming up with any really good ideas and I'm not finding alot of twins party decorations. So far I've only came up with a party at our house, since their birthday is on a Friday I decided no Chuck e Cheese since they are so small (don't want the bigger kids running circles around them) and I'm not sure if they will be walking yet by then. They got some of those colorful play balls and put them in like an inflatable pool for the smaller kids that will be coming. I also think they should have separate cakes. I don't know anymore games or activities they will be able to participate in or any foods (they have almost 8 teeth each now at 10 months). And I guess I'll need some games and activities for older children up to 11 years old that they can have fun too. And as far as decorations, I don't know a specific theme or should I just do something basic. Thanks for all suggestions! I really need the help.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear people planning parties for young children is to keep it simple. One year old's don't know what is going on, and it is easy to overstimulate them with too much activity, noise and sugary foods. It will be hard for anyone to have fun if the twin are having a melt-down. In my experience, one year old's love helium balloons and the paper and boxes from the gifts! If you keep the party relatively short, like 1-2 hours then there will not be a need to spend a lot of time, money and energy with activities to entertain multiple age groups. When the twin get older the parties can be more elaborate. Please do not feel obligated by family and friends to do "too much". Having two cakes is a wonderful idea, as well as singing happy birthday twice. I pray your family will have a wonderful celebration!

Well you could place some toy cars on top of the birthday cakes. (well if they like cars) Next avoid PARTY POPERS or any other noise creating objects as your twins ears are very sensitive. You could give some colourfull and attractive birthday presents.
bake 2 small cakes & have your camera ready -go smaller & have fun.
