Do you have any Birthday gift ideas?

Mom's I need all your ideas? Birthday Gift for a Unique Girl?

  • So its Birthday Time this sunday for a 5 year old little girl. She is a foster kid in our home. I am really confused on what gifts we should get for her. She has alot of issues going on. She doesnt really have any friends at pre-k, she does not go near play kitchens or play houses. We were thinking to take her to chuck-e-cheese and let them play with the whole family. which is 4 adults and 4 kids.. what do you think..any gift ideas?? she has been through alot and sadly she doesnt even know what a birthday really is. This will be the first time she has ever celebrated a birthday and she is turning 5. so any gift ideas you have please share! Thanks everyone!

    I find that good gifts for foster children is something that they can take them if they have to go to another home, or someplace different.. Something that shows them that yes there are people out there who care about me and what happens to me... a nice blanket, a teddy bear, a game, something that can be kept as a treasure.. Make a little photo album for her of your time together and all the fun things she did as a family.. give her a little camera of her own to take pictures of what she wants.. Make a cd of calming songs or songs that make her feel good about herself, and get her a portable cd player to go with her... maybe ask a few other kids to come and play with her so she make friends... The best thing is show compassion and love... thats what fosters lack in thier life... I am sure you will do fine, and choose whats best for her... Best of luck to you and her....

Yeah chuckee cheese is always fun! Bring a birthday cake with you to chuckee cheese and explain let her know that you all are there just for her , to celebrate the day she was born and how special she truly is .. Make her feel like this her very special day .. And a doll that looks similiar to her might be a good idea .. When you give it to her make sure you tell her how beautiful the doll is , and how much it looks just like her and how special it is.. She sounds like she needs attention and time :p ... Taking time out with a child is the most precious gift you could ever give them .. Another gift idea is : Get her a board game (like candyland) , and play it with her .. Taking time out is very important to a child like this ..

The best gift is a cute little backpack/pretty purse filled with goodies: a cute stuffed animal - some crayons and coloring book - some pretty hairbows - maybe a glittery hairbrush. I know when my neice was 5, she'd pack everything she could in her little backpack and take it everywhere.

Start a scrapbook with pictures of her to let her kow how special she is. books (maybe ones that could help with self-esteem) help her start her own garden accessories for her dolls maybe a pet

Let me star by congratulating you. It's something wonderful and sad at the same time what you're doing. Well the best gift is love, so make her feel like a princess let her know that this is her day. Doesn't have to be in a fancy place but what's more important is the special time that you and the family spend with her.Take her to a place where she can play and be a kid. To the park, To the zoo, it doesn't matter really, what matter is to have fun and showing her that all she need from you is love and care. God bless you!

Does she like coloring stuff? Baby dolls maybe? A bike? Ask her what kinds of things she would like to play with. My lttle sister never liked barbies or baby dolls, but she loves art stuff, like coloring book, crayons, sidewalk chalk, and she likes jump ropes and things like that. Soo just see what she wants.
