Any ideas for a comedic one-act play?

Do your kids play what YOU pick or do THEY have their own ideas?

• One last question in this vein, I'm very curious. My daughter always has her own ideas of what to do. That makes it nearly impossible for me to ensure "play time" while I'm, say, folding laundry, or something. I can bring her with me and try to make games, but the bottom line is that I have to spend at least a portion of time folding and during the moments I'm doing that she may or may not have any interest in being near me - she may be off trying to learn ballet and refuse to do anything else but that. if I don't join her, she sure as heck won't join me and thus, we end up NOT playing together until I can join whatever it is she's picked. I find since she was about 4 months old she always had her own ideas and coaxing, prodding or even me acting like a game is the funnest in the world won't make her descion to play whatever it is SHE wants, sway. I get the impression there are two kinds of kids: those who are easily led to play stuff (making it also easy to "play" while folding laundry or play while cooking) and those who get an idea in their head and run with it, despite who is willing to come along. and I assume there are the ones in between. What do you find your kid is like? do you choose the games or do they? btw, I do always try to engage my kid. I never stop trying to make it fun, but whether or not my fun can be whatever it is she's in the mood for is a hit or miss, dependning if my fun can be flexible or not. (pretty hard to play tag while trying to sit down to dinner or trying to stuff a chicken for cooking in the evening). Do any of you find this?

  Kids all have a mind of their own. And coaxing them into doing some things can be rough. However, if you are busy and and they want to play but you don't have time for it or otherwise, simply let them know you are busy and will play later.
