What food to pack for baby to go to india?

I have a 16 month old baby, who was chomping down gerber foods before, now she hates their sight. I was thinking of packing 100 of those for my 1 month stay. Now I am at loss what to give her there to eat.We are travelling a lot there so home cooked meals will be very less often, any ideas on what safe foods to serve her. same anxiety about milk I have, My beloved Indians please dont tell me that India is great and food is great, I know it is thats why I am going there, but babies cant adjust to the change.so please give some helpful hints on what to pack for a months stay thanks

Don't forget to either take water or to boil her water before you make formula or other meals that require water. If you are going to be with family or have an address, why not ship foods there in advance (canned goods, etc)

India has fresh fruit and vegetables that can be served raw. Not to mention bread products. I am sure you can get plain rice as well. Also I am sure they have jarred baby food and formula in India. I know nestle is sold pretty much everywhere. I am assuming you are visiting people why not ask them what brands are available at the grocers?

U can take tins of cereal like "farex "or any other good brand. Keep thermas full of warm water , one empty bowl & spoon. nowadays we r getting spoon attached to bottle is more easier way to feed baby. Anywats nowadays we r getting these kind of food in India too. So don't worry.

you could bring powdered milk that way you could just add bottled water..or some pediasure to get that extra nutrients that may be lacking during the travels. You could bring lots of snacks, little boxes of cereals, dried fruit, those microwavble cambell soup things (if you will have microwave acess), and try your local health food store. They have a lot of little things that are full of vitamins that your daughter might love.

definitely take bottled water. water there will/may upset her stomach bread is probably a good idea, whatever you feed her right now, take it there

well i am from australia my husband is indian and i have a 23 month old daughter, we just came back from a 3 week holiday in india staying with his family we stayed around delhi area and india is a very filthy place no matter where you go..so always buy bisleri water from trusted shops not from the road side and take a tin of formula thats what i did and it lasted till we got home as for food she ate plain rice, vegetables, roti's,lots of fruit..and when we went out we would go to pizza hut or macdonalds u can get biscuits that are suitable for babies and bread...we also travelled alot and i just gave her fruit,and packets of bisuits and sandwhiches or when we stopped on the way we found some good(trusted) resturants....im not going to tell you she will eat those things but hey its worth a try my daughter actually lost alot of weight while in india but i just kept up her water intake and bread biscuits etc fruit and i was pretty much happy with that..there not much else u can do....good luck.....oh and take lots of those small tissue packets and wipes for bub you will need them...i was always washing her hands and face..they came in handy very much..good luck..
