What is the best way to make your toddler fall to sleep fast?

What are good ways to make a toddler fall asleep ?

  • Well i was babysitting a two year old girl , her bed time is not till later . Well I had to tell her alot of times to lay down and she kept getting back up , it toook like 30-45 mins to get her to sleep . How do you make your kids sleep with out yelling at them , what are some tactics?

  • Answer:

i babysit too and i absolutely hate that part!! for babies i just blast some twinkle twinkle little star cd til they go to sleep. but i've only babysat toddlers with siblings so i make it a race to see who can get to bed on time 1st and then whoever wins gets to pick the book to read before they go to bed.... lol

Dark room, soft playing music-doesn't matter too much what it is, have them lay on their belly and either pat their back or put your hand on their lower back and rock them back and forth. Oh and make them keep their eyes closed. Just keep watching them and saying close your eyes. It sometimes can still take up to 30 minutes-some kids just fight sleep so badly! But it always works for me. I worked at daycares and would have to get 10-12 kids asleep every day for nap time. Worked every time ! ! ! If you wanted a way to just tell them to sleep and stay. It doesn't usually work. You gotta put them asleep sometimes. I like to say if you go to sleep Mommy/Daddy will be home. That helps too. Good luck.
