How to clean a toddlers car seat?

My 2 1/2 yr old is hunched in his 3-in-1 car seat. Any suggestions?

  • My son is only 29 lbs and 2 1/2 yrs old. He is very tall and his shoulders are already about 2 inches above the strap holes in his Alpha Omega 3-in-1 seat. I know he is way to light and young for a booster seat so does anyone know of a better car seat that accommodates taller toddlers?

  • Answer:

You could try the Safety 1st Go Hybrid Booster, which is what I have. I believe (you'l have to check) that a child has to be 22 lbs to use it so you should be fine there. It's a booster seat that has a 5 point harness and is, in my opinion, the best solution for child restraint until they outgrow it. My son is 6, weighs 42 lbs and is 46 inches tall and still sits in this booster. Once he outgrows it height wise the back is removable and can be used as a normal backless booster. The only thing about this seat is you have to have LATCH in your car and you must tether the back to use it with the 5 point harness. It's also not cheap- I found it for around $170 but it will be the last seat you'll need to buy for your son. Here's a link to it on RightStart.com but there might be cheaper places to get it out there: http://www.rightstart.com/safety-1st-go-hybrid-booster-seat-tan.html#QAHeader There are other good alternatives but when I researched booster options this one was shown to be very safe and I'm definitely happy with it.
