Why can't I get a file to open?

I cant find a job..how do i file taxes to get money for my kids?

• Im in a bad situation i was left with tons ofbills and have to move out of my place im in and i cant find a job i only get support and im gonna start watching my friends kids while she works. she will pay me. i need to pay the bills off so we can move other wise we will be liveing on the st! How can i get the money to claim my kids

  Did you make any money in 2011? If so, you may get a refund from that. Also, look into Earned Income Credit which gives you a refund based on the number of children you have if you meet the income guidelines. Go to http://www.irs.gov/faqs/index.html to find out about your tax questions and how to file. There should be a link on the left that says e-file with a list of free filing websites. I recommend Turbo Tax. I use it every year free and it works great. Very easy. It will ask you questions to see what you qualify for and make all the calculations for you. Read the info on the link I gave you to find out if you can file Head of Household. You get a bigger refund that way.
