Answer:
I have a 5.5 yr old little girl and almost 2.5 yr old little boy. My daughter drinks 16 oz of fat free milk split between breakfast and dinner. She gets 4 oz of juice mixed with 4 oz of water at lunch. For snacks she gets a glass of ice water, so she has about 16 or so oz of water alone. If she says she's thristy at any other time, she gets water. She has never had soda. She does have a small cup of lemonade once a week at a playdate. And she will sip some iced tea from daddy. My son drinks full fat milk, because he is a picky eater. He drinks about 24 oz of milk a day, 8oz at every meal. He has about 4 oz of juice mixed with 4oz of water at both snacks. If he is thristy at any other time, he gets water. He drinks a tiny cup of lemonade once a week at a playdate. And, he will sip a tiny amount of daddy's iced tea. No soda.

My son is 2 years old. He is not allowed soft drinks (ie. coke, pepsi, etc). We give him fruit juice, as long as it's 100% real fruit juice. I'm trying to think of brands we buy - Welch's, V8 Fruit & Veggie, etc. Even with fruit juice we usually give him 50% water, 50% juice. He drinks 2% milk at meals and water throughout the rest of the day. Good luck with your project!

son 23 months old: I allow him to drink juice but watered down 1/2 and 1/2 about 4-6 oz of juice a day with the equal amount in water so he gets 8-12 oz of this mixture. He also gets milk, water, and ocassionally non-carbonated fruit punch (yes I know this is not the best thing for him but it is very occasionally)

my kids drink water , diluted juice (half juice half water) and milk. my youngest has to have soy thanks to a milk sensitivity. some times the older kids have a carpi sun every once in awhile for a treat, but they really prefer water . they are almost 9 almost 5 and 1 year and a 1/2. the older kids have about 8-12 oz of milk a day, they don't drink juice everyday but they do drink water everyday.

When my daughter was 6 months old I started giving her pear or mixed fruit 100% juice. Now she's 34 months (3 years old in 2 months!!) and she drinks around 9-10 ounces of juice each day either apple, pear, or mixed fruit from Gerber. And around 14 ounces of milk every day. And the rest of the time I try giving her some water. She's only had soda once, my brother gave her a sip of Coke and after she said it made her tummy hurt, but it was just bubbly and she had to burp after. So I don't know if it really counts since it was a one time deal. :P

I have a daughter, 2 years 8 months old. She mainly drinks water, occasionally drinks milk, and sometimes she drinks juice - normally 100% orange juice because that is what she prefers. Her grandma has given her koolaid once, but she didn't like it at all. She has tried several things - tea, lemonade, gatorade, etc, but only sips from an adult and not a cup to herself.

My daughter is 2 years old and drinks water, 2 % milk, and 100 % fruit juice cut with water. (I don't give her any of those sugary juices, koolaid and definately no soda) Sometimes I'll give her chocolate milk as a treat.
