Why do I get erections out of nowhere?

Why does my 4 year old brother get erections?

• i babysit my little brother on the weekends and when i give him a bath he always gets erections when i wash his body, he also gets them when i change his clothes or when i cuddle with him, is it normal for it to happen because i didn't know boys could get erections before puberty

  Little boys will often get erections, and at 4 years old he'll probably have had quite a few - baby boys get erections from a few hours to a few days old. They can happen for lots of reasons - if your little brother needs a pee, or if he's a little cold, or if he's happy, or if his underpants rub on his penis... anything can cause them, even travelling in a car :) There really is nothing to worry about, in this case I think it might be the act of washing his body (I assume you wash his genitals too) which is causing this, it's not sexual in any way, simply the fact that you touch his genitals when you wash them. It's normal as normal can be, don't be concerned by it!
