Late period from stopping nuvaring or pregnant?
-
I was on nuvaring for 2 months, started the third month but took it out after only two days in because it was making me feel so sick. 3 days later I had a withdrawal bleed that lasted 5 days. So basically I had two bleeds within two weeks. Now it has been 33 days since the start of the second bleed and no period. I'm sort of having cramps but not really. My nipples are really hurting and have bumps on them. And I'm having lots of watery discharge. I have been obsessing all month that I'm pregnant cause I had sex right before I took the ring out. But we used a condom and it didn't break. I've taken home pregnancy tests all were clear negatives. I have a doctors appointment on wednesday to find out for sure. But I was just wondering if 1.) it's normal to have a late period after stopping birth control esp. mid-cycle. and 2.) could the missed period be a result of stress and constantly worrying that I'm pregnant? I'm still so worried I can't stop thinking about but I really shouldn't be.

Answer:
Stopping any form of birth control, whether it be the pill, the depo shot, or the nuva ring, will throw off your period for a few months.
