My head is bleeding everywhere?

Is this implantation bleeding or is it just in my head?

  • Okay so lets see where to begin. I ended my last menstrual cycle about 3 weeks ago now and recently I've been having some bleeding. It's nothing heavy by any means, and it is brown in color. At first I was thinking that maybe it was just the last remainder of blood from the unfertilized egg, but after doing some online research, I found that when you are implanting, the bleeding is usually pinkish or brownish in color. So then it got me wondering if I might be implanting. I haven't been having many symptoms of pregnancy, possibly because it would be too soon to tell any typical symptoms. I do have a little breast tenderness however, but I usually have that a week before my period is due to come. I have been on the pill since I gave birth to my son 11 months ago, but lately have been forgetting a lot so I tend to double up and sometimes I forget completely for like 3 days. My husband and I have not been using condoms either. We aren't "trying" to conceive, but it's not completely out of the question. Given that if I were to become pregnant, we both would be ecstatic. So what I am wondering is if this sounds like it could potentially be implantation bleeding, and when is the soonest I could take a pregnancy test to get an accurate result. I am going crazy wondering if I'm pregnant or not so any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you all!!!

  • Answer:

You won't know if it's implantation bleeding until you get a positive or negative pregnancy test. If you get a positive pregnancy test, you can assume it was implantation bleeding. If you get a negative, you can obviously assume it wasn't implantation bleeding. To get the most accurate result, I would suggest waiting until the day AFTER your period is supposed to come. That way you don't waste money by using a test early and then getting your period.
