Do routine blood tests check for pregnancy?

• I think I may be pregnant I have all the signs and symptoms and my period is late. I did have some irregular bleeding last lasted quite a long time so I figured I wasn't pregnant but all the symptoms continued. Now, I'm 2 days late for my next period. However, a couple weeks ago I went to the doctor (because I was feeling down and moody) and she ordered a blood test. Would a routine blood test check for pregnancy? The doctor never called to say their were irregular results but I'm wondering if my blood was never checked for pregnancy.

  they dont usually test you for pregnancy unless you ask. so they most likely didnt. try a home pregnancy test, and if that comes out negative and are still worried call your doctor to schedule a blood test done. good luck!
