Answer:
Usually during as EWCM is a sign of fertile CM. As far as the precise time, it depends on the month and the woman. Since we all ovulate different times each cycle its impossible to pin-point ovulation unless you do an OPK and/or chart very well each cycle. Its hard to detect true EWCM as it can look like left over semen. BUT, if its stretchy without breaking, chances are you fertile and an egg is good for 12-24 hours. Sperm can live inside waiting for that egg for a max of 5 days (in the right fertile conditions). You would also want to see the BBT dip and then spike. The dip is when you ovulated (ideally). When you no longer see the EWCM or wet CM its assumed ovulation has taken place and you are in the Luteal Phase (just waiting for AF or BFP! Never give up until you get the full flow!
