Is it normal to feel internal pressure in the vagina while pregnant?

30 weeks pregnant with contractions and a lot of pressure in vagina.?

• On Saturday, I was having a lot of contractions that weren't regular but kept getting stronger so I decided to go to the hospital. They hooked me up to a monitor and seen that I was having contractions. They called the doctor on call and he said to make me drink a lot of cold water and if that didn't help they were going to do an iv and a shot. Thankfully, it helped and they slowed down but then I started feeling pressure in my vagina and told the nurse. She checked my cervix and they were still closed but she told me it was my bones separating for delivery. Well, every since Saturday I have been having contractions that are getting worse and have been feeling more pressure in my vagina than before and I don't feel good at all. I have been staying off my feet and everything like they asked me to. What I want to know is has this happened to anyone?, how long after it happened did you have the baby?, what all did they do to you when it happened? Please give me as much information as possible. I am scared. :/
