What is antiphospholipid syndrome?

Antiphospholipid syndrome and pregnancy? help please!!!!?

  • i am almost 7 months pregnant and have been diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome a few months ago. the disease is when my blood clotts more than usual and without treatment it can cause preterm labor, miscarrige or even a still born. but they started me on shots that thin my blood now they want to run another blood test to see if the shots have thinned out my blood since i no longer have my shots because my prescription ran out. but i havnt had my shots for a more than 2 weeks and im nervouse because im not sure if i should still walk 5 miles a day like i have been since before i got pregnant because if my blood isnt thinned out enough, i can go into labor or something els can happen. so should i just lay down all day at home for a few days until i get my blood test results, or should i just do what i do on a daily basis? please help me out.

  • Answer:

Do not spend all day lying down. Not moving around will increase the risk for blood clots further. Go about normal daily activity until you know the results of your test.
