Does all lone parents have to change tojobseekers from income support?
-
-
Answer:
The government are introducing changes which mean that lone parents will no longer be entitled to claim Income Support if all their children are aged 7 or over. If you have a child under 7, you'll be able to carry on receiving Income Support rather than claiming Job Seekers Allowance. I think that the change will come into force in 2010.
