How did you spend your best weekend?

I'm a nanny for 2 young boys (15 mo. & 4 yr.). How much should I charge to spend the night over the weekend?

• I work 3-4 days a week and in addition to watching the kids I also do laundry and housework. They have recently asked me to spend the night and watch the kids over the weekend, but they want to reduce my hourly rate ($10/hr.) in the evenings when the kids will be sleeping. I also have to take into consideration that I will have to board my dog for the evening which is $35. My question is.. Should I stand by my hourly rate or come up with an overnight rate? If I should use an overnight rate, how much should it be?

  Gosh you work Cheap.I don't know where you live but that is unheard of here in illinois.and then she wants to be cheap for an overnight stay.That is usually more here also..so no tell her no less than what you already get.But if you are doing this for 8 hrs a day that should be at least a couple hundred a week for 2 kids.. and more for overnight..
