What can be high school interview questions?

What are some good questions to ask for a parent interview for a high school health class?

  • The topics are pregnancy, birth, parenting, marriage etc. I can't think of any questions besides these: When and how did you decide to get married? Who was more financially responsible for the wedding? How long did you wait before having a child? How was it to raise a child? What were the worst and best parts? How did you feel when you first found out you were going to be a father?

  • Answer:

    were you married before you became a parent or did you get married because you were becoming a parent? how old were you when you became a father? did you graduate high school before marriage? did you graduate high school before you became a father? was your baby a planned thing or somthing that just happned?

Those actually sound like really good questions. I'm sure you'll do fine! Maybe ask if one of them wanted to have a child before the other did, and if/how they came to the same decision on the issue.

Are you talking about talking to the parents of teens? Or teen parents? I'm not clear on what exactly you're asking. If you're talking about a class for high school kids, one good question to ask is: What qualities do you want in a spouse? Then let them know that they can use this as a guideline for dating. We tend to keep dating the sames types of people and then we tend to get married to the type of people we date. Maintaining a high standard can help keep people on track.

For Dad, you could ask if he was actively involved in the pregnancy and if he attended the birth. How did he help out mom in labor? How did they make decisions about breastfeeding vs. formula feeding? Starting solids? Vaccinations?
