Can being a notary without passing the Bar Exam get a decent paying job?

How come my parents are telling me that I cannot get married to a vietnamese girl if I work a low paying job?

• So I am a vietnamese guy in the state of California and I have poor math skills and I have poor social skills and I was only lucky enough to graduate from high school. A 2 year college has accepted me to be in a program that only requires me to go to college for a year and 6 months and I would have a good paying job as an pharmacy technician. My mother and my father has told me that if I don't do good in college and fail college I might have to work a low paying job and that means I might not be able to marry this girl from vietnam. They said they are going to let me get engaged as soon as I finish college but If I started working a low paying job I might have to wait a while to save up money. They said if you don't get a college degree, there's a small chance that girls from vietnam won't marry you nor vietnamese girls in the states. How come my parents are telling me this ?? Is it really true that I cannot marry this girl from vietnam If I have a low paying job ??

  I think your parents are just trying to encourage you to pull through college. Obviously any woman would rather marry a man who is successful but in reality that is up to the girl. A pharmacy tech degree is not hard to obtain so I am sure you will do fine. Good luck and if you are already dating a girl ask her the question you have asked. Trust me when I say now is the time to have a college degree..... Jobs are not easy to come by low paying or high paying!
