How do you make paper mashie?

I want to teach my son to make his own paper?

  • He needs paper for his class, and I was like, "Son, when I was growing up, things were different. Jimmy Carter was President, and you had to make your own goddamn paper. So log off of XBOX Machine and make some goddamn paper." So now I have to find out how to make paper. From scatch. Need ya'lls help. Give me some, or die. JK. But seriously, how do *** ya make paper?

It's really not that hard, and can be fun. My son took a paper making class at his homeschool co-op a couple of years. All you need to do is blend together scraps to make a pulp, spread it on framed screens, press out excess moisture and let it dry. YOu can put in dyes, threads, seeds, flowers-- all kinds of stuff to make it interesting. If you look through craft stores and outlets, you can probably find some kits that sell everything you need to get started.

I got some recycled loose leaf at the Dollar Tree - four packs for a dollar. Is there any reason to make your own?
