Remember the times you could pop into a shop and leave your child outside in a pram & u knew they are safe.?

I am only 25 not a mother but I can already see what your talking about...for starters my parents didnt evan lock the doors when they where kids my mom went to the mall alone at like the age of 12 now a days kids cant do anything with ou mom r dad r both and kids grow up so differently its scary!! my b/f's 8 year old niece likes to write stories about breakups......i wasnt thinking that at 8 i just wanted more choc chip cookies!!

No. Whenever I used to see a pram outside a shop, I could never believe the laziness (and that's all it is) of the mothers. It might be a struggle to get the pram in the shop but it's worth it to not have your baby pinched. I have 3 children and struggled in to shops with all of them.

Actually, yes. I blame media scaremonging and those who are quick to shout "bad parenting"

well statisics say crime has not changed that much. Just because there is more communication today you get to hear about it more often than years before.

i would have never left my baby outside in a pram while i went into the store...and the street has never been a safe place to play unless you are in a neighborhood with no traffic except your neighbors. But as long as you are watching them especially at the park, its fine. it was just as dangerous back then, bad things still happened. we are just a lot more cautious now.

My mum actually left one of us (6 kids) in the pram outside a shop and didn't realize til she got home :-) Yes - something went very very wrong somewhere. There were always bad and sick people but now there just seem to be more of them.

Somehow we gave right to child molesters, murders, rapist, drug dealers...like they should have any rights in society. Our kids and family is punished to protect them you can not play outside anymore unless you have armed guards to babysit. The courts are filled with he said and she said and no one will speak the truth. We have people accusing other of wrong doing, just to get back at them for a bad grade or was yelled at, not put on the cheer squad. People don't know what to do anymore...so everyone has rights even evil people.

yes i remember it well, and also my mother would go to a baby crying in the pram outside the shop and rattle the pram gently until the mother came out the shop, as did other women
