How can a lady who just had a baby eat popeyes chicken?

Sometimes labor lasts for dozens of hours, during which women do tons of work, and are not allowed to eat in case of the necessity of an emergency c-section. I was in labor for 27 hours before they did a c-section on me. Then I wasn't allowed to eat for another 10 hours. Let me tell you, I would have eaten a RAW chicken, let alone some delicious fried chicken! As it was, the broth I was allowed was the most delicious thing EVER. There's nothing any more "bad" about a woman eating fried food after birth than at any other time. In fact, after the work she's done and the long time it's been since she's eaten, it should come as no surprise at all.

She had a baby shes not sick! Hospital food is disgusting and my husband brought me food when I gave birth to 2 kids.

Lol I ate pho noodle soup with a ton of jalapenos in my recovery room. Thats all the nurses would let me eat. I probably would've eaten fried chicken if they let me! Labor is hard work. Thats why they call it LABOR

No a lot of people around here get kfc because It's not to ear from the hospital I took two bites of hospital food and fell asleep wasn't much for eating at the time

I vomited all during my labors & with both kids I was in labor for literally 3 days - so with my 1st they came in & read me the list of all the options. I just kept saying "okay" meaning "I heard you", then they left. I kept asking Dh to go check to see if they were coming back to get my order - turns out I said "okay" to every option & I guess I had ordered everything on the menu when I said "okay" - so they brought in THREE trays of food & drinks. Guess what - I ate it ALL just about. LOL I eat like a horse for about a week after having a baby. I am sick my whole pregnancy, then at the end the heartburn can be so brutal so that everything you eat burns & it feels sooooo good to have a good tummy & I feel hungry all.the.time then - so I eat & eat & I eat ANYTHING I want. I think if it sounds good to you & you can stomach it - more power to you in whatever your food choice. It may not be what is nutritionally the absolute best for you - but I think you deserve whatever you want to eat after all that time being pregnant & then delivery. If a woman wanted fried lard I'd say give it her. LOL

Worse than at any other time? I had an Italian sausage sub sandwich in the recovery room. You have no idea how hungry you are after childbirth! There's no reason it would have anything to do with breastfeeding either. When you're breastfeeding, you need a lot of extra calories.

It's really up to her what she eats. After having a baby and gaining all that weight that's the last thing she should eat really but hey, some women don't care. I ate subway and after my long delivery I could barely finish it.

some people eat that even when they are pregnant. but as long as she's not breastfeeding it shouldn't be a problem.
