How mother learn to take care of first child when she never had experience of raising child before?

  • All work can be done better if had prior experience, but first time moms don't have prior experience then how she learn to take care of baby? I don't think if parenting classes are available everywhere. Do her relatives help her? How she learn all nursing of baby, like understanding baby's needs, understand for what baby is crying and how she learn to stop baby from crying, how she learn to make baby sleep, how she learn when and how to change diaper, what is good and what is bad for baby, which food/nutritions to provide, etc.? how she learn to teach him/her discipline and morals/values? how she learn as to how to deal with child.

You find yourself in a situation where there's nobody around and the baby needs its nappy changing or needs feeding so you're forced to do it. Yes it might be faffy and confusing at first but after that first time it sort of just "comes to you", it seems like the natural thing to do. Its really hard to explain but yes, you learn as you go. How on earth did we cope before parenting classes and books existed? Huh? You know.. we survived. You just sort of know what to do. Also you read up on things during pregnancy and get a sort of idea of what is best for your child. Nutritionally, however, a lot of parents struggle. Particularly parents who aren't educated on what foods are good or not, and lazy parents. Its ok when they're a newborn, you either put them to the breast or give them a bottle both of which aren't rocket science. However suddenly they're six months and you have to actually feed them. If you've grown up with a family who have fed you crap then that's all you know and if you don't research what foods are good for your child it could be very easy to not break the cycle and also feed your child crap. Research is always key, if in doubt- google lol.

It's pretty much a learn on the job experience. That being said, I found reading and researching various subjects helped me a lot. So read, read and read some more. Once the baby comes you learn by experience. You'll learn from doing it and you'll make mistakes but there's something to learn from mistakes too. No parent is perfect but with some knowledge gained beforehand combined with slowly becoming more and more experienced, a new mom does a great job most of the time with becoming a parent. Trust your instincts and when in doubt, research to find the answer.

It's instinctual. All mammals have it. Babies are not as breakable as most people think. They can all survive if they have a caring and loving mother or caregiver, even if she isn't doing the best of the best for her baby. We all make mistakes and no one baby is the same. We just have to figure out our children and make it work with the best knowledge that we have.
