How much to charge for an overnight baby sitting job?

Baby Sitting for an 11 (12 in a little less than 2 months) year old?

• So, I'm 11 (almost 12:)) and I want a baby sitting job really bad. I have been around babies since I could barely walk, I have 4 younger siblings, I changed, fed,and bathed every one of them. (I think they all puked on me at some point too!!) My mother nannies a two year old boy (who is so super sweet) and I help with him a lot too. ( she has nannied him since he was about 9 months old) Does anybody think I couldn't handle a baby for a couple hours? What should I charge? If you know of any websites that may help please put a link with your answer. Thank you!

  I would recommend waiting until you are 12, and not babysitting any child under 2. There is so much to know about babies, and while you may know your siblings well, all children are different and you may not have the experience to deal with different problems or quirks that other babies will have. By 2, children are more capable of telling you what they want, and parents are more able to prepare you and the child for a couple hours without them. Good luck!!
