What do IQ tests determine?

Are there tests for infants to determine future health/mental ability?

• This isn't a question about a real kid. Yesterday in class we were talking about pyschology and technology. Someone said there were tests that could be run on babies (like up to 1 yr old) to determine both long term health/genes and their potential IQ/reasoning ability/intelligence, etc. Other people said it wasnt possible to determine that until kids were alot older. So I was just curious. Are there really tests that can predict a kids potential ability and/or health when they are a baby? Even a rough ability; I'm sure nothing can predict 100%

  There are tests that they can do while the baby is still in the womb! They determine things like down syndrome. I do not like these tests, I think they are pointless, it is just another selfish reason for mothers to get abortions
