How old does a babby have to be to get her ears pierced?

  • My four week old daughter is so pretty and I think little ear rings would make her even prettier. My mom tells me she is too young but from what I was told it is better to do it when they are really young. Is their an age limit on when you can get them pierced?

They are never too young for ear piercings... I had my girls done while they were still in utero.

A friend of mine got her daughter's pierced at 4 weeks. I don't think mother's should get their babies ears pierced though, they should decide for themselves. Watch out too, my mom had mine pierced when I was a baby and the ring ripped through my ear.

Old enough to make the decision themselves. Having someone marked for life reminds me of how Hitler tattooed all the people in his concentration camps when they had nothing to say about it.

My babby boy got his done at the same time he got circumsised, two birds one stone. I just had to make sure they didn't do his gay ear. I think your sweet babby will look just darling with a couple of gold hoops in her ears. Do it asap.

6 months but don't get her ears pierced until she is old enough to choose it for herself. I used to work at Claire's and pierced baby's ears and it's the saddest and meanest thing a parent can do to their sweet little baby.
