Moms, Are you as nervous as I am about the upcoming bathing suit season?
-
I went to Wal-Mart this morning to get a few things and I saw that they already have bathing suits out for this season. I had my son May 08' and I still don't think my body is 2 piece bathing suit worthy. I am 22 and feel too young to wear a 1 piece. When I saw all the bathing suits I just grabbed onto my cart and sped away! I don't even want to think about being in a bathing suit right now! I am not overweight but I am not super skinny- I am average but I am still nervous about my "new" body in a bathing suit. Anyone else feel this way? Y!A suggested Society & Culture > Etiquette for this question! Thanks Y!A for making me feel worse!

Answer:
Thanks for reminding me! I am 21 and had my baby in May 08 as well. I am NOT ready for a swimsuit. *cries* My body is pretty good since I had my daughter.. no stretch marks, flat tummy but I am still not 100% comfortable in my new body either I better start the sit ups now because I definitely want to take my daughter swimming this summer. Maybe I will just wear a poncho Hahahaha!

They still make those? I thought it was a t-shirt and cut up shorts...lol. I was planning on getting into great shape for this up coming season...but during summer last year, oops I became pregnant again..so I have plenty of time for summer 2010 to look decent enough to wear the one piece again lol...Target put out their bathing suit line like 2 months ago here ...UGH

you need to embrace your new body. your body is not a child/girl body but a womans body now. i never knew only old people wore modest bathing suits Just get one that fits and the colors look nice with your skin tone. If you are happy and smiling you will look great!

Yeah, for me this is called the T-shirt over light shorts season. Bathing suit? How funny. On the other hand, my husband likes my body, my son couldn't care less and why shouldn't we tell the world to **** off if they think we aren't worthy of being as comfy and cool in the water as younger or thinner women? Wear whatever you want and strut your stuff! Maybe it will give the rest of us courage.

I had my daughter May of '08 also and I know how you are feeling. I have pretty much gotten rid of most of the baby fat but there is still that little bit and the stretch marks. ugh. But I got one of those two piece suites that have the little bakini bottoms and the top that's like a tank so it will cover most of my belly. But I'm not going to worry about it too much because if you are taking your son with you I doubt may people will be looking at you. They will have all there attention focused on him. I can't wait to go swimming though just to see her having so much fun in the water. YAY:-)
Mommy of 2 with 1 on the way!
I just had my third child 5 weeks ago so I plan on rockin' a tankini top and board shorts this bathing suit season. Oh yeah.

You're not alone dear. I had my girl this past October and the idea of a two piece makes me cringe. One pieces aren't my style either, as I'm older than you but not by much. I'ma go with one of these : http://www2.victoriassecret.com/collection/?cgname=osswmtnkzzz&cgnbr=osswmtnkzzz&rfnbr=157

I had my daughter on November 20th...and yeah...no way I'll be in a 2 piece. I'm 24, and I too feel too young to wear a one piece. But I can't imagine putting on my bikini again yet. The gym has become my new best friend and my worst enemy all at the same time. :-( Good luck to you and all the new mommies.

OMG, lmao...this reminds me of last summer when I put on my two piece from the summer BEFORE and had huge muffin tops coming out of the bra part. That didn't happen before I had Jordan. =\ Yeah...I think to make it for this summer I have to spend the rest of the winter living off celery, lol

lol, i prly think about this more than anything right now. i'm due may 12 and will die if i can't go to the beach and stuff im 18 so maybe thatll make it easier to get my body back but that doesnt help the stretchmarks
