Do you buy your baby name brand clothes?

A name brand would only be to please the parent. A baby obviously doesn't care what it's wearing. I have never based my shopping on brands, but on cost. Never made sense to spend lots of money on something that would only fit for a couple of months. My son's almost 7 and I still shop this way.

Only rich people or teenaged bimbos who see their babies as baby dolls do that.

It isn't even important when they go to school.

In my own opinion, my son will be 4 in September and I buy his pants from goodwill. I don't think when they are a baby it matters because they are going to grow out of it so fast. If they were in school it would be a different story. Now, I bought my son a pair of DC shoes, but that was because I (mommy) had a pair. LOL! When school starts I will try to buy more name brand clothes because kids in school can be ruthless these days.

I think it's mostly for the parents. I mean, really, a child/baby doesn't know they're wearing name brand clothing. They don't care how much you spent on a shirt and what the tag says. The only time I buy name brand clothing is if it's on sale or it's something I really cannot resist. Otherwise I shop at Target, Walmart, and Old Navy(I guess that could be considered name brand to some but Old Navy is fairly inexpensive compared to a lot of stores!). There are some brands that hold up better than the cheaper ones, though. Carters, for example, has been very sturdy for us and so I don't mind buying that brand.

i'm not a parent. but i dont see why you should buy your 2 year old name brand clothing. no one is going to judge how you dress your child. little kids are cute either way! =)

I do, and yes it is just because I like her to be in them...however I buy them of ebay, so I pay the same price for a new pair of designer jeans as I would pay for a pair of regular jeans at target. EDIT*She has cheap clothes too!

I don't care at all about name brand. I buy what looks cute and seems comfortable. Based on those criteria, I end up buying a lot of Carter's and Circo from Target. Paying for a name brand is a waste of money to me.

You know sometimes I do, sometimes I dont. I just buy what I find that I like for my kids. My kids have some Gap, some Gymboree, but also some Zellers or Walmart clothes... I dont want my children to be obssessed about a brand name, I think it's silly. I know they'll eventually be like that, when they get to be teenagers, but I also dont want them upset if we cannot afford something this brand or the other. We sometimes buy them brand names, because they last longer, but not for any other reason, or because I like their design.
