Whats wrong with my ex-boyfriend?

• People tell me like he just wants to keep me around.......just in case,other girls arent working for him. and that I should act like I dont care no more,and that it would work. So I start acting like I dont care no more,and that nothings wrong and I put a sad or mad face on when he's around and he keeps asking whats wrong,everytime.And at one point he took my hand and pulled me somewhere else away from other people to talk to me and ask whats going on and all i said was nothing with a sad face and then he took my arms and put it around his neck and went up close to me and start holding me,tilting my head up so i can look at him straight(while i keep looking away) asking whats going on and stuff and start begging me tell him whats wrong and at the end off it he kissed me on the cheek,after I said there is nothing completly wrong[even thought there is:( ] Do you think its working?? I even ask my teacher in parenting & relationships and she said it works when girls play wit guys,since guys always do that and also my close friend who was experienced recently wit this guy. How long should I keep doing this to him? Do you think if i keep doing it,he's gonna go nuts and maybe want me back? I actually want him back though... :(
