Questions to 'popular' high school students who enjoy mocking others and/or talking behing their backs?

  • I just have a few questions to high school students (and even past high school students) who enjoy/ed making fun of and/or talking about other people behind their backs. And please I want mature, educated and HONEST answers. They're supposed to sound mean/rude so no lying or sugar-coating is necessary here. I just want to see how you guys feel: 1) Why do/did you do it? Is it because you want(ed) to feel superior and/or cool? Or something else? 2) How do/did you REALLY feel about the people you're making fun of? ---------- And additional questions to PAST high school students who enjoyed making fun of others: 10) Now that you look back, do you ever regret and FEEL for the people who's lives you may have hurt? 11) Are the people you made fun of in high school currently doing well in life now? Are they becoming more successful than you? Do you think that karma is biting your back? Thanks for taking my survey. I hope you guys answer truthfully. The TEN points goes to the 'popular' high school student [who enjoys making fun of others] with the most informative, honest, sympathetic, educated answer. I'm asking because I went to a high school reunion (our 5 year) last weekend and a bunch of popular classmates who were playing a game were making crude, disgusting and immature jokes about other classmates and I was definitely NOT enjoying what I was hearing! Apparently some people never grow up

Other answers

1) I did it because I'm mean and I can. 2) Most of them I didn't like, or they had something worthy of making fun of. 10) Of course I don't regret it. It was exactly what I wanted to do and I don't lose a wink of sleep over it, it was, and is funny. People need to learn to take a joke. 11)No, they are doing equally as successful or worse. Just because someone is bullied/made fun of doesn't make them any more likely to succeed. That's extremely cliche. They are just as likely to fail at life because of their low self esteem as they are to succeed to make a point.
