Is texting facebook free?

Does this guy like me? We've been talking/facebook/texting for the past 4 weeks, like a lot?

• And its still awkward when we talk in person. We dont talk too much at school, but then we text/facebook for hours. He's definitely made several attempts at flirting, and when we go to bed says stuff like "I can't wait to see you tomorrow :D". And another this is, I usually start the conversations, but he always clearly puts an effort to keep them going for a while. Then like another example I saw him yesterday in the hallway randomly and smiled/waved and said hey!, and he just gave like a headnod like whatever... which is like the exact opposite he's like when texting. And he also tells me I should come visit him at work, and yesterday I was driving around with my friends and we were by the grocery store he works at so I said lets go here. Just me and one of my friends went in, and I found him, and we talked for like 5 minutes but it was really awkward. But he kept looking at my friend. Like she even told me she was creeped out. And later while I was texting him he said "Thanks for visiting! and srry aobut the awkwardnes..." and he also asked me what my friends name was... so I'm sooo confused. so a few days later... since then (that was last saturday) we've still been texting a lot, but tuesday in particular, we talked in person a lot. Instead of walking with his friends after school he came with me, because we were going to give our friend her book back. Plus last night I said we should hang out and he said that would be awesome. So yea Idk now he is making it seem like he likes me but idk. And idk what to do or say. And now today I visited him at the grocery store a second time, and it wasn't as awkward, I was with my sister this time (We actually had a reason to go to the store lol, but I happened to know he was working). I saw him wheeling this thing, and he joked, "If your not buying anything I'm gonna have to ask you to leave". Then when he came back, we talked for like 5 minutes while he was sticking things but Idk it was still a little awkward and I was like leading the conversation, and I'm fairly shy myself, especially around guys I like. But I've noticed he is different talking to in person than texting so idk... is it possible he likes me but is too shy to flirt in person and only does via text?

  He's just shy, this is how my girlfriend and I were for like the first 6 months we dated, now three years later we cant get eachother to shut up, whether it's in person, on the phone, or texting/facebook.
