How do I get a guy to notice me?

Teens: I need help on how to get this guy to notice me or talk to me!?

• in advance...sorry if its long but i need some advice!!! thanks in advance :D okkay so i'm not a total nerd, my dad calls me his "nerdy jock" because i'm a varsity athlete but i'm also smart. i am not "popular" but i do have a close tight-knit group of friends. Mostly my cross country buddies, and i also tend to be kinda shy. i'm 16, a junior in high school. so anyways to get to my question...i really am starting to like this guy at my school :) but the problem is i don't really know how to get him to notice me and talk to me. he is kinda like the "popular" guy at school. i think he's really cute, smart, involved athletically. he wrestles and does track. he is also in usb and currently running for class president. but the thing is he is a little, by that i mean VERY cocky!!!! for example, for disney dress up day he was prince charming :D. but i dont know if a guy like him would ever like a girl like me! i dont know what to do. we are in ap us history together, were in the same group and we talk about school related stuff...i think i need help! PLEASE!!!! I know he isn't dating anyone. I'm friends with his best friend, but we don't hang out. And when I told her that I liked him but i didnt know what to do because they are part of the "popular" group she was like no we aren't. And plus you dont know him so you cant judge him like that you need to try talking to him. so idk? hahaha

  Okay, well I'd just continue to talk to him about regular stuff and then just ask him to go with you to the mall, movies or something like that just to get acquainted with him and then if he shows any signs he actually does like you, then you can make the move and try to ask him out! You can't really 'get a boy to like you' because if he doesn't like you, then he just doesn't like you! But try to dress attractively, don't wear too much makeup or expose too much though...you don't want to look like a slut or anything like that. Just dress in attractive clothing, wear some light makeup, and you might just get him!! You both sound like nice people so it actually might work!! Just take it slowly and it might work out for you, especially because he isn't dating anyone. All the best and I hope things work out for you!! xxxx
