How can you become more outgoing?

How can I become more social and outgoing in high school?

• Next school year I'm going to be a freshman and I wanted some tips on being more social and outgoing. Its not that I'm antisocial, but when I'm at school I tend to be a little shy and reserved. Haha but when I'm at home I'm funny and outgoing. Its like a split personality... o.O'' I really wanna be myself in high school so I can have a good time and make friends. When people know me I act more like myself. Any tips? Gracias! BTW: I'm also going from a super small private school to a huge public school so I know that might intimidate me being with so many more people.

  Don't be afraid to be yourself around people, people will appreciate you more and like you more if you are true and yourself, instead of being fake and something you are not. If people don't like the real you, then it's their problem and they will regret it when they realise what they have missed out on. Just be yourself and don't be afraid to put yourself out there. My advice to you is to join a few clubs, you will meet different people and from different classes than you, so you will have a mixture of friends. Join the drama club, as you will become more confident and outgoing, and sports is a great way to be outgoing too, as you work in a team and you will meet people. Talk to people and don't be afraid of making the first move. Just say hello, which is the hard bit and then you're done, you'll have friends in no time, and when you are with your friends at lunch or wherever as other friends to hang out so you meet new people and you still have your friends.
