Why does the Easter bunny carry eggs?

springtime is when most is born. the egg represents life and rabbits are the fastest to reproduce.

hahhahaha i nvr got that but i think..... it has to do with springtime like chickens or birds (whmever lay the egg) lay eggs and so the rabbit takes them to kids houses? and the rabbit is also a springtime thing so thats why he does the job..... i know my answer is rlly like "wtf is she on crack sorta or something" but yeaaaaa the easter bunny scares meh!(i know he isnt real ) but just the idea if REALLY a giant rabbit pranced into ur house at midnight!

Rabbits and eggs are both symbols of rebirth. Rabbits because they multiply so quickly and eggs because chicks are born out of them. It's all part of the spring festival.

It's an old pagan myth. Anyone with any brains, knows that rabbits do not lay eggs, so why are we telling lies to the children. By the way, Easter is an old pagan holiday also, has nothing with the death of Christ. It is determined in date, by the spring equinox. So how could it be connected with the death and Resurrection of Christ.

So you're saying you want an Easter chicken??? Or Easter bird? Hmmm. Somehow I don't think that would have the same effect on people as cute little bunny rabbits, than squeaking birds LOL. But I suppose you do get them chocolate rabbits in the gold foil with the red bell around their necks... Mmm. Nam nam. Chocolate.
