Camp ideas to do at home.

Going to camp in a few weeks? A bit worried?

  • So Im going with my school to a camp for student council. I'm excited but Also kind of scared. I've only been away to camp once before with cadets like 3 years ago. It went fine and I had fun. Now I'm just still kind of nervous. Just being away from home for 2-3 days with a bunch of people makes me feel a bit sick. I am 14 years old.. I shouldn't be feeling thus way about being away from home for like 2 days. Its not that big of a deal.. Any ideas on how I can prepare myself for this? I don't want to get there and get anxious and be weird.

  • Answer:

what you're feeling is perfectly normal and okay! when i went to a camp for the first time i was worried sick, and i couldnt picture my life without my family being around me....and then i arrived at the camp. you should just keep your mind off the fact that you will be away from your family, and focus on what is going to happen when you get there! check to make sure you have everything packed, and maybe even look over the itinerary for the week so you can think about all of the activities you are going to be doing over the weekend. and last of all, when you get there just have fun :) try your best to let go and be yourself! going away to camp is a very fun experience, and it doesnt happen all the time. you wouldnt want to waste time worrying, when you could be having the time of your life! best of luck :)
