What are transferable skills? Why is it important to have good transferable skills?

What do you think is most important for a kid: social skills, good grades, good morals?

  • Personally I would want a kid to have good social skills. I was raised by parents who were all about grades and I wasn't allowed to do a lot of things the other kids did. So I was very "weird" and always unhappy and missed out on a lot of job opportunities because I was so socially awkward.

    Honestly, good morals leads to good social skills and good grades. A child raised with good morals and high standards for his/her future is going to become a sucessful individual. That is the way my parents raised me. I knew as a child that I was to be polite and respectful of all adults, I was to respect myself and my peers, I was to try my hardest and never to give up and all that good stuff. I turned out pretty good...National Honor Society President at my school, Key Club Vice President, Captain of my team, Honor Student, respected by my peers, and I really care about others. I feel that with good morals, anything can branch off :)

They each have their own merits. Most important is Social Skills or the ability to peacefully interact with other human beings. Morality is imparted, it is learned from the parents actions and inaction. Good Grades come rather naturally with good social skills, one that can interact and form cohesive bonds to others can ask them for help when they may not understand or grasp how a certain instruction or math problem is solved or applied. I am going with social skills on this one, the other two follow that, usually.

I agree with you, i always had good social skills. My parents weren't always stuck on grades or morals. So I've gotten pretty far.
