Babysitting price rates these days? Anyone know? Middle class, Florida.?
-
I'm making flyers to give to my neighbors and for my mom to put up at her work. And I'm wondering what I should charge. I am sixteen years old, I've take cpr classes and am cerified. It would have to be at their house. Ages too? Like how much for babies and grade school children? And for multiple kids? Again I live in Florida. Medium class neighborhood. And I have tons of experience(: with ages 2 months-8 years. And I've dealt with my younger sister who is 12 now. Thanks!

We pay our sitters $7 an hour to watch four of my kids, I havnt left my fifth with them yet because hes only two months old, when I do Ill probably raise it to $8. What I think is a reasonable price is $6 an hour for the first four kids, as long as they arent all toddlers and infants, and an extra dollar for each child after that, plus an extra dollar for each toddler or infant, so for my four kids, one being a toddler, I pay $7, $6 upfront and an extra dollar because one is a toddler. I think its a fair wage, enough that the sitter, who is usually a teenager like yourself, makes a decent amount of money without driving us into bankruptcy.
I babysit My cousins and Little brother. I charge $5 per hour and for each aditional kid it $2 extra. so if you are babysitting two kids it would be $7 and hour. It adds up FAST! In one session i got $42!
$10 an hour?

On the flier just say prices to be negotiated because I is too hard to work it out on paper.. I would say for an infant a starting rate of $7.50 and hour... If they have some older brothers or sisters charge an extra $2.50 per child. If it is a toddler maybe $7 an hour and $2.50 for each additional child.. If it is a school aged child and up $6 and $2.50 for each additional... Late at night add one dollar to each cost... Also stop at $50.. After that is tok much...So for example: An infant, 5 year old, and seven year old from 9pm to 2am... $77.50... It's over $50 so just charge them $50... Hole I helped and wasn't too confusing! (:

$10 an hour. Any less and its not worth your money. -A child under three years old: $11 an hour -Special needs children: $11 an hour -Late night/early morning: $11 an hour -More than 1 kid? Add $2.00 for every additional child. Now, if you know the people you are sitting for are having hard times because of the economy, be considerate and lower your prices. =) Best of luck!

I can only say what the price was when I had small children. It was $1.00/ hr. That was 50 years ago.. I imagine the price has risen along with everything else.
