Which summer camp should I send my daughter to?

How long should I send my 10- year-old to camp for?

  • I have a 10 year old daughter (she'll be 11 next summer) and she and her friend want to go to sleepaway camp next summer. They already picked one out. You can stay for any amount of weeks from one to eight. My daughters friend's mom and I are deciding how long to send them for. Both girls are semi independent. They trust us to decide how long they should go for. Any advice?

Personally after going to camp for 9 years since I was 6 I always wanted to go to camp for the whole summer, but the camp I went to only had 1 week programs which were not long enough. Since your daughter is only 10 I think 2 or 3 weeks this summer and see how that goes and send her longer the next year. She will probably meet alot of friends and won't want to leave them to soon, if she does not like being away for so long, she can always come home. Hope this helps.

If you wanna send your daughter to camp don't send her for very long sure you can send her for weeks when she is older but because she is only 10 she will miss her parents so at the most send her for a week because she will miss u

My 11 year old cousin went to camp this summer for 4 weeks and she is also semi-independent :) She loved it!!! She did miss her parents but my aunt set her care packeges and she was alright and happy :) She's going again next year :)
