What's the best book to read for first graders?

Suggestions for a fun book to read to first graders?

  • I volunteered to read to the first grade class. I'm a good reader and can engage the kids really well but I'm having trouble picking an appropriate book for this class as most of the books we have at home are geared toward younger kids. I would like something fun/ engaging/ intereactive. Something that maybe I can ask questions as we go or get into doing different voices or a "mystery" to engage them. What are your favorites? Any suggestions for a good class book?

  • Answer:

The True Story of the Three Little Pigs by A. Wolf written by Jon Scieszka my sons love this book.
