Do national TV broadcasts ever have regional commercials?

Healthy Food TV Commercials?

  • with all the mcdonalds commercials out there, and the obesity problem in kids, doctors feel that commercials showing unhealthy foods influence kids to want mcdonalds, etc i want to start something, sort of like those drug free commercials, that makes commercials promoting healthy eating that can be shown on childrens TV networks how do i start something like this? im going to be done with college in the fall with a communicatiosn degree, and i know a few production companies, plus im in a good area, living in NJ, being near the city any ideas of what i need to do to start up something like this? or to get involved with an organization? thank u!!

Commercials for McDonalds (and other fast food places) are no longer shown in between programs for children under 16 here in the UK. This is regulated by Ofcom - perhaps they have a US branch?
