Is it weird to vow never to buy our kids underwear or socks as gifts? lol?

My hubby and I were talking the oher day about getting socks or underwear as gifts when we were children. Personally I remember opening all these great gifts under the Christmas tree each year (thanks mum and dad! lol) but then opening one up and it was underwear, and just pasuing feeling slightly confused then throwing it to the side and going back to the other cool gifts (toys and stuff). I watched my neices and nephews open gifts one year too and they did the same thing, lol! They didn't even take them out to see what color they were or anything just threw them to the side with half the wrapping still attached. Looking back on this I laugh, but I still think that children should gets toys and books and stuff like that for gifts, not underwear. Underwear isn't exciting to a child! what do you think?

Yeah I would give them toys instead of socks and stuff u can buy those at a store any where any time and besides it Christmas and kids expect toys not socks and underwear

I agree, kids should not get underwear for Christmas. As a cold I would feel embarrassed about people looking at my undies...lol.

Giving underwear or socks as a gift doesn't make you look cool. Not a recomended gift. Hands down.
