What are the requirements for a Nursery School or a playgroup?

My 3yr old is goes to the playgroup at spinney hill school and will be starting nursery at the same place.?

• how ever, after reading the OFSTED reports, i feel that coleman primary is a better school, and i would also take evington valley school into consideration. obviously i want to sent my child to a school where i think he will do well. i would appreciate any advise from parents who send their kids to any of these schools, or from teachers that work there of have done so in the past. which school is better? how are the schools teaching standards?

  to be honest, if your child makes good friends and enjoys school, they will do well. If your child hates school & has no friends and is bullied, they will do badly no matter how high up the ofstead report the school is. The best that you can do is to try and get involved. Become a classroom assistant if you have time in the day, or become a governor if you have a little time in the evenings. If you have concerns, chat with the teachers & develop a good relationship with your child and the school. You will then be in a prime location should anything start to go wrong. Leicester has great support for it's schools and it's children. It is just up to you to seek it out and take advantage of it. (I was a parent govenor for my child and the whole experience was very rewarding).
