How hard is it to become a citizen of Sweden?

  • I'm wanting to move from America to Sweden. I'm about to turn 18, and would like to make the move as soon as I can. I'm wanting to attend a university in Sweden, and become a citizen of Sweden. So what I'd like to know is, how do you apply for citizenship in Sweden, how hard is it to apply for citizenship in Sweden, and how hard is it to become a citizen of Sweden?

Plus you cannot count the years you stay on a student visa in Sweden towards getting Swedish citizenship. Becoming a Swedish citizen by application naturalisation.
