How long it will take to get my passport that i have re-applied for?

I live in India and I have by mistakenly damaged my Passport. I am planning to re-apply for a new one. I am not sure how many months will it take to get my new passport.

well it depend sometime it take two weeks but sometimes it takes more than 6 month.

Hi, its no-way u shud get upset or bored. u hv not posted frm which city or state u're. well u'll get it ASAP. since from JAN 2012, the PP ppl are goin to deal only online. please goto passportindia.gov.in website. make your new registration like how to make one to create new email id's. from there login into your acc and apply for re-issue of ur older passport. its been made very easy. u try it out. i've given below the link also. jus go and do it......
