Is Underage & Pregnant a reality TV show?

Should some network do a reality TV show, to show how the average American family suffers from illegal aliens?

  • Say it is about six lower-middle class American families, in six average sized towns across the country that have been overtaken, and nearly ruined by illegals. Follow these six families for a year, with discrete filming (hidden cameras, private interviews, ect.) and see from their perspective, the struggles they face in a country where illegals get more and more entitlements, while they become second class citizens in their own country. Document with hidden cameras and wires, how they cannot get public assistance, for medical care, food, ect. While their illegal neighbors who have new cars, free groceries, and a welfare check using false I.D.'s live a much better life than their "Gringo" neighbors which they hate and try to get them to move. Document the racial slurs these Americans get from the illegals on a daily basis. Document the crimes these Americans are victims to from illegals on a daily basis. And the reality show would not help these families financially or otherwise to get a impartial view of their situation. If these families became victims or even casualties of the illegals it would not be interfered with, only documented. Americans seem to relate to reality shows these days, if they made one that focused on overrun illegal neighborhoods with a American minority it might wake up a LOT of Americans who do not realize how much the average American suffers from illegals in the U.S.

  • Answer:

Or how about a documentary of Americans passing over other countries illegally and seeing how they are treated vs the ones that come over her illegally. I don't get where they think this has anything to do with human rights, when it is the freaking law.

I honestly think this is a bad idea. For one - making a media gimmick of illegal immigration will only lead to people not taking it seriously anymore. For another - are you implying that all illegal immigrants are evil malicious creatures who's only goal and desire is to suck out the lives and prosperity of the beautiful home-grown American society? B.S. They're as human as we are and their blood is the same colour. I'm not going to whinge about racism - then people will just point and scream LIBERAL - but honestly, you know that show is going to be nothing but one-sided. If there isn't serious criminal activity done by illegals, you'll just air clips and pieces to make it look like there was. If American criminals make life hard for a family, you'll cut that part out. Don't say you wouldn't; otherwise there wouldn't be enough footage. Criminals are just criminals regardless of who they are or where they came from. Besides, FOX is the only channel that would air that. Not many people take FOX seriously anymore.

I hope you know how ridiculous you sound. Personally I don't agree with illegal immigration because it is not fair that employers will give them a job faster because they work for less. But for you to get public assistance with fake ids is BS, they verify those documents and numbers so I really don't see how it can happen. Also a show like that would definitely violate some serious laws. Ilegal or not they are humans and their is such as thing as basic human rights. We are not in the 1800s anymore and people have to be treated equally. And just in case they decide to do something like this then they should also do one where they show how white trash are absolutely worthless people and should be expatriated. Eye for an eye, and tooth for a tooth, it's only fair right?

They already have supporters crying.DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two local advocate groups for undocumented immigrants have publicly accused the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sherriff's Department of using DUI checkpoints to legally seize thousands of cars. The Southern California Immigration Coalition and the South Central Neighborhood Council claim DUI checkpoints are strategically placed in and around Hispanic communities as a trap to catch unlicensed and undocumented drivers. These groups say the state of California made $40 million in profit in 2009 from these checkpoints. "In one impound, four cars were impounded because of drunk driving and 60 cars were impounded because of a lack of a license," said Julia Wallace of the South Central Neighborhood Council. "It's obvious to us that for one, these things are targeting working class people, undocumented immigrants, that do not have a license but are really just abiding the law otherwise and are not drunk." However, sheriff's department officials deny that claim. "DUI checkpoints are used to prevent people from driving under the influence of alcohol," the department said in a statement. "It is to get people off the street -- out from behind the wheel of a car so people do not suffer tragic and totally unnecessary injuries that many times lead to death. DUI checkpoints historically have proven to be a successful tool in combating drunk drivers." A spokesman for the LAPD's union said the claim that the state profitted from the checkpoints is "absurd" and not supported by facts. "The truth is that checkpoints cost money and local law enforcement, such as the ones operated by the LAPD, are fortunate to receive funding for the DUI checkpoints from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS)," Eric Rose told Eyewitness News. He says the checkpoints operate in accordance with guildlines mandated by the Supreme Court's ruling in "Ingersol vs. Palmer." The two groups want the city of Los Angeles to adopt a policy similar to the policy in Oakland, where undocumented or unlicensed drivers are allowed to pull over and wait for a licensed driver to come and get their vehicle rather than have their vehicle impounded. http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?section=news/local/los_angeles&id=7861983 Julia Wallace of the South Central Neighborhood Council. "It's obvious to us that for one, these things are targeting working class people, undocumented immigrants, that do not have a license but are really just abiding the law otherwise and are not drunk." Let's see, just poor innocent "law abiding" folks who are here illegally... --and who are driving without a license... Do we have to wait for armed robbery, murder, rape, grand theft auto, or can we bust them for breaking tow laws?

There is a reality show and if you read the comment section you will see two important things. First up till my reading of the seventy five posted comments not a single one has blamed nor used illegals as an excuse for why they are in the position they are. Secondly as a "reality show" the show does not portray the series family as ultimately broke as many writing the comments are past broke in some cases way past the use of "downsizing" to survive. (in part) "Downsized" Premieres: November 6 Airs: Saturdays, 9pm Network: WE tv "What’s It All About? At last — a reality show about reality! WE tv’s cameras follow the Bruces, a blended family of nine who — like millions of other American households — had the bottom fall out of their free-spending life when the recession hit, bringing with it job loss and foreclosure. Forced to make radical lifestyle changes, including making their own clothes and growing food, the family discovers a collective innovation, determination and resilience they never knew they had." http://channelguidemag.zap2it.com/falltvpreview/index.php/downsized/ The show or maybe idea you promote, for me is to specific in looking for what is the "single" cause of many America's families plight. It seems to me that when things are in a negative light you always look first towards blaming illegals, illegal immigration and Mexicans but when you speak of the positive the credit given or reasons of success are mainly because of "White" America. I find fault in your statement on how "six average sized towns across the country that have been overtaken, and nearly ruined by illegals". Certainly you must feel that if six towns are overtaken by illegals, those towns would be ruined. How could you have doubt to say "nearly ruined"? If you are so positive that illegals are getting "public assistance, for medical care, food, ect" all while common citizens are openly denied then why use "hidden cameras and wires"? Do you unconsciously believe that these illegals that are claimed to be so empowered would hide and have reason to change their behaviors because of a television camera? Are you implying that with all their "immunities" to community and legal authorities that they would not say "racial slurs" or commit "crimes" on a "daily bases"? Who knows maybe it is me. It is possible that I am always looking for that one word that could change the course history, the one word that could of saved a life.

Pitch the idea to the networks, and cable. I'd watch it. The only documentaries I've watched about illegals are how and why they feel they need to come here illegally. And it has nothing to do with violence in their countries. It's always about how much more money they can make to treat their families to a better life back home at U.S.A's expense. Or how much better our health care is then their own.

Maybe for an American business but not a family, or maybe even a town/city

If an illegal alien takes a job away from an American, he/she is causing that person who lost the job to suffer. I see it where I live.
