What jobs can immigrants have in the USA ?

Illegal aliens are not immigrants Illegals work alot of construction and carpentry jobs, not hardly a crappy job. The time of illegals only working in the fields are long gone. Alot of high end restaurants have them working as cooks. These jobs are far from "crappy". Sitting at a computer or tv playing a video game isn't going to make you a living. The times of not working (desk jobs) for a living in the U.S. are gone.

I have no expertise on immigration but I'll try to answer your question. All the illegals here in California, for example, has taken all the blue collar jobs including caregiver. If you don't have visa or high education then you are most likely to end up doing painting, construction or grass cutting. Honestly, I've been an immigrant with visa here in California for almost five years yet living here is like hell. You really need to know a lot of people here or else finding a real job impossible (even those people with Masters degree). I know a guy who is an English like you but he is a town bus driver despite having ten years of construction in Europe. If you want to rent a decent place here then you got to pay 1000k plus, not worth it if you are starting out with few resources. Cheap apartments/condos here are usually places where gangs live so take your own risk. People here may party every night but they drive long and work their butts off everyday. The competition here is fierce so if you are not 110 percent determined, chances are you will go back to your homeland. All I do is surround or find people with the same nation as I am so that I have somebody to lean upon in times of trouble. I have a college degree but everyday I still eat crap here just to survive everyday life. You really need a long term goal and not be picky when it comes to work.
