**HELP** Chinese Girlfriend Needs a Visa to Live in the UK?

  • Okay i really need proper info. I dont know where to ask and i know people are helpful here so here goes. Im English and went on China on holiday traveling, fell in love and now want this Chinese woman to come over and live with me in the UK. What kind of visa does she need? Im willing to marry her also. I do have about 5k worth of savings. I have a job which I've had for like a month but it's commision only in Sales and at the moment Im not even great at it so the income is minimal. Im living with my parents at the moment and when this girl comes i plan for us to stay here until she's adjusted to the UK and got a job and we can move out to get our own place. With a marriage visa apparently i need to show i've had a job for 6 months and my income and show it's enough that i wont need government help to support us. What type of visa would be best for us? Help with info on it and websites with great info too. We are commited and want to be together! Additional Info: She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English, both written and oral. She went to a Chinese university for 3 years and got a qualification in Business English. However I dont know the equivalent here, some type of degree. She's a manager in a factory. I feel she'd be able to get a decent job over here in the UK.

    You can either mary her in China and she applies for a spouse visa, or she applies for a fiance visa and comes to the UK to get married. The cheaper, quicker option is to marry and apply for a spouse visa. You, as her sponsor, must be earning enough to have at least £105.95 per week left over after rent, council tax and utilities. It is perfectly acceptable for you to live with your parents provided that if the property is rented you have the landlord's permission for you both to live there and her presence does not cause overcrowding. You should have at least one bedroom for your exclusive use. You will need to provide her with between three and six months salary slips and bank statements and your employment contract to submit with her application. Edit. If you marry outside the UK she will need a spouse visa. If you want to marry in the UK she will need a fiancee visa enabling her to marry in the UK, then after marriage apply for a spouse visa. There is a bit more to getting a spouse visa than just having enough money. You need to look at the UKBA website: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/partners-families/

well if she is moving here with out you guys being married she is going to need a work visa. but you need to get out or your mother and fathers house, it would look bad and they would think something is up if your living at mommy and daddy's house. You need to move out, and dose she know you want to marry her if she dose then great. For now work on this, getting her a work visa moving out then you would be able to see if you can really support your self. I mean what happens you move and you too are living together something happens and you brake up. So try to live on your own while she gets the work visa. then once shes here talk about being married if that is your intent. then get married and live a old happy life together. good luck
