How do I get my son's social security number?

What am i going to do if it's already 45 days and i didn't get my social security number because the USCIS is?

  • Hi!Last nov.23 my working permit was already approved by the USCIS and I got my EAD card with advance parole.As far as I know, once you have your working permit then u could also apply for a social security number.I applied and told me that I have to wait until four weeks until they could verify all my documents.Unfortunately,it's been 48 days now, and I didn't receive any feedback from the Social security office.My adjustment of status at USCIS is also approved now and I'm just waiting for my permanent card to come.I think that office that I went to are not doing their job or maybe they don't know exactly what are they doing.But my concern is that I badly need my social security number.Would that be okay if i will go in another office of social security and submit a new application?Please help!!!

    You dont need to submit another application,just there with your documents and verify with them they will issue you another card..so go to your social security office

I would say just go back to the Social Security office and present your I-797's & EAD card. They should be able to help you with that.

You can apply a new application at the different location. But you will now have to present the actual green card. Also, another location will find out that you already applied SSN in their system. Go to SSA to see what is going on with your application with green card.

Its probably the common problem after you arrived you were not entered into the SAVE system the SSA are required to write to the USCIS manually to check ... or you never entered on a correct visa .... we dont know all your details
