Could the United States learn from Mexico's strict immigration policy, and perhaps implement it ourselves?

Mexicos Immigration Laws Translated into laymans language by expert on Mexicos immigration law John Carman former INS Customs Agent assigned to the U.S. - Mexico Border. 1. If you migrate to Mexico you must speak the native language. 2. You must be a professional or investor. NO unskilled workers allowed! 3. There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools no special ballots for elections all government business will be conducted in Spanish. 4. Foreigners will NOT have the right to vote regardless of time lived in Mexico. 5. Foreigners will never be able to hold political office. 6. Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers of Mexico. No welfare no food stamps no health care no other government assistance programs. 7. Foreigners can invest in thee country but must be an amount equal to 40000 times the daily minimum wage. 8. If foreigners wish to purchase land it may be approved but options will be restricted. Foreigners are not allowed to purchase waterfront property - that is reserved for citizens naturally born in Mexico. 9. Foreigners may not protest; no demonstrations; no waving a foreign flag; no political organizing; no negative comments about the Mexican president or his policies. To do so is cause for immediate deportation to country of origin. 10. Foreigners coming to Mexico illegally will be hunted down and sent to jail. Illegal aliens in Mexico are considered FELONS.

Answer:
If Americans can ever get over their "We are the World" mentality, I think Mexico's immigration policy should be adopted as our own. I like Mexico's handling of its southern border, too. They have military posted there, and fire on anyone trying to enter illegally. Thumbs down all you wish, but I am very, very tired of America extending rights and privileges to every MS13 gang member who comes ambling across the border, while all the time, MY rights, as an American citizen are being eroded and erased, one after the other. Seems the only "right" I have now...in fact, there are some who would say it is my obligation..... is to pay taxes to feed and clothe the rest of the world.

Our Immigration Policy is so ugly it is remarkable. We need to change it, but last time we did that, the Democrats wanted to provide an amnesty that paid the illegal aliens some 2.2 trillion dollars. I would like to change it. I want the people to vote on the change.. I do not want Kennedy or whosits running the show. Part of what we have now, (the number of immigrants allowed) was created by Kennedy, and it is a horrible failure. He made the immigrants happy... he made the people who own this country very unhappy. And WE do own it. Kennedy has NOT be a very good employee.

If they do it they are trying to preserve their National Sovereignty and protect their nation. If we do it we are racists even though our country is made up of people from nearly every race on earth and everyone legal has the same rights.

THAT is very interesting- I WISH that WOULD work here- We are in a Presidential Election Year, yet, none of our issues are resolved- Our economy sucks- Gas prices soar, and all the Candidates do is try to slaughter each other. AND, I feel each and every US Citizen deserves HEALTH CARE INSURANCE!!!!! RE: Your question- Do they offer a good educational system in order for their Countrymen to meet the standards of their policy?
