Can a U.S citizen acquire a job in Sweden?

  • I'm looking to change residency but It would be necessary for me to keep a job to do that, I'd like to be living in Sweden with a job long enough to change my citizenship or have dual citizenship. I was just wanting to know if this is possible for me, as I love Sweden and would like to move there sometime in the next 4-7months =)

    Sure, it's possible, but you will need job qualifications which are in demand in Sweden. Probably best if your job is on the Swedish labor shortage list. Well it´s not impossible ;-) (Just not very likely that you will manage it). Until you are highly qualified in a sector that is demanded you can pretty much forget it because you will never get a working visa.
